ProtPool manufactures each cover according a personalized study, adapting the design to each costumer to achieve the best result.
The platform has a steel chassis that provides a rigid structure to its tubular fabric and IPE beams. lt is capable of holding a load
of 160 kg/m2, which means that you can walk on it and practice recreational activities on it. You can even put garden furniture on it, like tables, chairs, etc.
The platform is placed over two stainless steel guides that are on the floor, one on each side of the platform. The wheels with pads and Nylon FT give us a silent and smooth movement.
The platform 's exterior can be finished with different types of tropical wood or with synthetic material. Both options guarantee a perfect finish and add a high aesthetic value which is both sober and elegant.
Manual or automatic
MANUAL
The movement is done by the user, pushing the platform directly. At the end of each section, there is a key mechanism to block the platform and make it safer, preventing access to the pool without consent.
AUTOMATIC
The movement is done by a motor. An electric motor works on a zip that moves the platform in a smooth and safe way. lt is activated by an externa! switch which has a key or/and a remate control. The engine and the zip are installed inside the platform, which means we don't hove to add any visually annoying elements to the platform. The engine is equipped with a security sensor "anti crush", that means that it automatically stops and goes back when it detects an increased resistance. This way it protects any object or person that gets in its way
Setting options
To be able to install the platform, we hove to take into account sorne basic concepts.
The cover can be moved towards one of the tour sides of the pool. We'I! choose the best option with the customer, depending on the available space, the garden setting and the wishes of the customer.
There is the possibility of dividing the cover into two sections and moving them symmetrically to either side of the pool.
Setting conditions
Crane access to the pool is required to be able to unload the material. lf this is not possible, other solutions will be considered with a possible increase in the cost to the costumer.
lf the place where the guides hove to be placed is not paved, a small concrete foundation wiil hove to be made ( about 30cm deep x 20cm wide ali along the guide).
The motorized version needs a 220 volt plug that has to be close to where the engine is set. The conditions, the exact location and the technical details will be specified in the report that will be given to the costumer before the cover is installed. lf the costumer prefers us to install a plug nearby, an evaluation will be done and the increment of the cost will be charged to them.
The space where the platform will be installed must be empty.
En el cas que sigui necessari tramitar algun tipus de permís legal (permís d’obra, tall trànsit del carrer per a descàrrega material, etc…) serà resolt pel client.
Maintenance
The maintenance of the cover is mínimum:
- Concerning the mechanism, it is advisable to open and close the platform at least once a month to avoid damage to the pads, wheels and the motor gears.
- Avoid dirt in the guides to guarantee a perfect movement of the wheels.
- The maintenance of the cover slats will depend on the chosen model. The tropical wood models need certain maintenance with teak oíl like all outdoor furniture. However, the synthetic flooring doesn't need any kind of maintenance.
